DJ Corpéz

DJ Corpéz, birth name Meelis Korpe, was born 1984 in Haapsalu, a small Estonian town. As he had a very active nature, the great amount of energy had to be directed somewhere. He tried different games, for example football and basketball. Both didn’t give the desired result, moreover, he was not near the top. Studying in the 6th grade, he befriended a senior student, Mairo, who happened to be DJ of the school. Hanging together on parties, Mairo introduced Meelis to DJing, and after some time Mel became a new school DJ himself. So DJ Corpéz started his journey in the world of music. During high school studies he spun several club music parties. While he was 17, he got a chance to play in Terrarium, one of the most popular nightclubs of the time in Tallinn. After graduating from school and completing military service he joined the new-founded “DjClub.ee” and became a resident DJ. On the festivals organized by DjClub.ee and other clubs (Hyperstate, Hyperstate 2, Airport Jam 2006/2007/2008, etc.) DJ Corpéz has played events together with world’s elite DJs (The Prophet, Pila, Showtek, Yoji Biomehanika, Marco V, Johan Gielen, etc.). DJ Corpéz has been involved in producing heavy club music broadcast “Tragedy” as a joint effort of “DjClub.ee” and “Raadio 2”, one of the most popular radio stations in Estonia, also performing there as an RJ.
